Ashley V. Bias-Johnson

Owner/Artistic Director/Instructor

 

Ashley Bias-Johnson was born in Crowley, Louisiana and raised in Missouri City, TX.

Mrs. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and minor in African American Studies from

the University of Houston and is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration. 

 

Ashley Bias-Johnson has 25+ years experience in Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary.

She was trained under the direction of Darlette Johnson-Bailey (Kids-N-Dance), Lakiesha

McGowen, and Jana Smith (Dillard University). Her love for teaching dance began when she

established the Missouri City Middle School Cougarettes in 2005. Mrs. Johnson lead the

Cougarette Dance Team to undefeated seasons during 2005-2012 opening the doors to establish

her very own studio, Studio V Dance.

​

Studio V Dance was officially established in 2012 as a part of Lil' Harvard Private Learning Center and

expanding to our current location. Studio V Dancers have taken home awards in Best In Class Team ,

Technique Awards, Precision Awards, Highest Point Awards, Choreography Awards, Super Sweepstakes

Awards, just to name a few.

 

Ms. Bias-Johnson currently resides in Missouri City, Texas with her three children, Mharlee, Marshall,

and Mharlynn.

Ravyn Ammons

Assistant Director/Instructor

​

Ravyn Ammons was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with

a minor in Music from Texas State University. 

 

Ravyn began her dance journey as a 3-year member of the Hightower Hi-Lites Dance Team where she

served as Lieutenant Colonel her junior year and Head Colonel her senior year in 2016. 

 

She went on to become a 4-year member of the largest collegiate dance team in the United States, the

Texas State Strutters. During her time as a Strutter, she had the privilege of performing on national

television in the 2017 Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, the 2019 Macy’s

Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and several NBA halftimes. She is honored to have served as an

officer for 3 years, finishing her last year as the Head Captain. 

 

Ravyn specializes in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pom, Jazz Funk and High Kick.

Kierra Hearne

Instructor â€‹

Kierra Hearne is a college graduate from Prairie View A&M University. During her time at the University, she served as a member of the PV Black Foxes and President of Classic Dance Ensemble. 

​

Kierra is trained in various dance genres from ballet, jazz, and hip hop, to majorette, African, and tap dance. Kierra’s training began at Dancescape Academy then later participated as a member on SoReal’s hip-hop competition team before ending her high school career as a Lamar Rangerette Lieutenant.

Z'nae Mangum

Instructor â€‹

Z’Nae Mangum was born and raised in Houston, TX. She began her training at Missouri City Middle School and Studio V. She went on to become a member of the Thurgood Marshall Mystics at Thurgood Marshall Highschool.

Z’Nae is a graduate from Prairie View A&M University. During her time at PVAMU, she served as a member , Co -Captain , and Captain of the PV Black Foxes and member of the Classic Dance Ensemble. She was also crowned the 89th Miss Prairie View A&M University.

Z’Nae specializes in jazz, hip hop, majorette, modern, and contemporary.

Kaelyn Scurlock

Instructor â€‹

Kaelyn Scurlock was born and raised in Houston,Texas. She found her love for dance in 3rd grade and as her journey continued, she was blessed to serve as Captain of her Elementary, Middle, and High School Dance Teams.

Kaelyn is a full time student at Texas Southern University. During her time at TxSU, she’s been blessed to serve as a two year Captain of the Motion of the Ocean Dance Team for the Ocean of Soul Marching Band.


Now, she enjoys training and continuing to learn and grow as a dancer. As God continues to pilot her life, she loves sharing her journey and encouraging young ladies to pursue whatever avenue they plan on going, inside and outside of their dance careers.

LaMonica Lucas

Instructor​

LaMonica Lucas is from Houston, Texas. She found her love for dance at an early age. While attending Sterling High School, she was a member of the majorette dance team all 4 years and served as an officer for 2 years.

LaMonica is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. While I’m college, she was a member of the Classic Dance Ensemble, where she also served as secretary and vice president.

LaMonica is currently the new dance teacher at
KIPP Sunnyside Highschool for the 2023-2024 school year. She uses dance to express the way she feels. Being a dance teacher allows her to give children an opportunity to strengthen their talents.
